Fit out and refurbishment specialist Overbury has won the prestigious British Council for Offices (BCO) award for the Best Small Project in London.
The company, which has its head offices in Newman Street, London W1, picked up the coveted award for its recent stunning fit out of Paternoster House – the London offices of international private equity firm Cinven in Paternoster Square, London EC4. Criteria considered in the award included cost, space efficiency, quality of workmanship and inventive creativity.
“This is one of the top accolades in the office fit out sector and we’re absolutely delighted to have won it,” Chris Booth, managing director of Overbury. “The British Council for Offices Awards celebrate the best in office space and workplace design and this prize acknowledges a best in class workplace fit out.”
At Paternoster House, Overbury worked closely with architect and interior designer Pringle Brandon, project manager Drivers Jonas, quantity surveyor Gardiner & Theobald and M&E engineer SKM to meet Cinven’s request to create the feel of a luxury hotel in an office setting. The new workspace included video conferencing and soundproofed meeting room facilities, as well as refurbished lobby and reception areas.
In making the award, BCO judges hailed the Overbury scheme as “slick and neat” and “an example of the exceptional quality of a very high standard of entries.”
