Northern office fit out and refurbishment specialist, Overbury has won the prestigious British Council for Offices award for the Best Regional Fit Out of the Workplace in the North of England, North Wales and Northern Ireland.
The company picked up the coveted award for its recent stunning fit out of new offices in Leeds city centre for leading UK financial services specialist Provident International. Criteria considered in the award included cost, space efficiency, quality of workmanship and inventive creativity.
“This is one of the top accolades in the office fit out sector and we’re absolutely delighted to have won it,” says Paul Brown, Northern regional managing director at Overbury. “The British Council for Offices Awards celebrates the best in office space and workplace design and this prize acknowledges a best in class workplace fit out.”
Overbury worked on Provident International’s new workplace fit out with AYH as project manager and quantity surveyor and M&E consultants, Furness Green. The stylish new office environment was created by architect and interior design company, Manser Practice and featured state-of-the-art offices and meeting rooms, contemporary break-out areas and full kitchen, restaurant and servery facilities.
In making the award, BCO judges said the Overbury scheme closely reflected “the aspirations of the Provident Group. The fit out team was heavily challenged by a slightly awkwardly configured building but responded with panache. The surroundings are cool and low key which is a fitting backcloth to the work that takes place here.”
