Office fit out and refurbishment specialist Overbury has been rewarded with a pair of coveted awards from the British Council for Offices (BCO) for two of its recently completed fit out projects.
The company picked up the award for Best Regional Fit Out of the Workplace in the North of England, North Wales and Northern Ireland for its stunning fit out of new offices in Leeds city centre for leading UK financial services specialist Provident International. Overbury also took the top prize for Best Regional Small Project in London for its transformation of Paternoster House for international private equity firm Cinven in Paternoster Square, London EC4. Criteria considered for both awards included cost, space efficiency, quality of workmanship and inventive creativity.
Overbury worked on Provident International’s new workplace fit out with AYH as project manager and quantity surveyor and M&E consultants, Furness Green. The stylish new office environment was created by architect and interior design company Manser Practice and featured state-of-the-art offices and meeting rooms, contemporary break-out areas and full kitchen, restaurant and servery facilities.
At Paternoster House, Overbury worked closely with architect and interior designer Pringle Brandon, project manager Drivers Jonas, quantity surveyor Gardiner & Theobald and M&E engineer SKM to meet Cinven’s request to create the feel of a luxury hotel in an office setting. The new workspace included video conferencing and soundproofed meeting room facilities, as well as refurbished lobby and reception areas.
“This is one of the top accolades in the office fit out sector and for Overbury to win in two categories is an excellent result,” says Overbury managing director Chris Booth. “The British Council for Offices Awards celebrate the best in office space and workplace design and to have two fit out projects acknowledged as being the best in their respective classes is a great achievement.”
